What makes the difference

Celestine

The founder: an eyewear craftsman, he went to Paris to build his clientele. He started out in Morez in 1843 and, in 1845, filed one of the first patents in eyewear for a seamless frame.

Charles

The traveler: he visited opticians across Europe and distributed catalogs of his products worldwide. In 1878, at the Universal Exhibition in Paris, he represented Maison Vuillet, which was awarded a bronze medal.

Mauritius

The pioneer: from the age of 14, he traveled the roads of France and Europe with his father to present the company's products. In the 1920s, he was one of the first to use rhoptix, the precursor to acetate.

George

The innovator: he introduced 2-tone gold plating to the collections. He had to deal with decolonization, the loss of certain markets, and refocus his commercial activities on Europe.

Gérard

The Eyewear Craftsman: he designs frames as if they were genuine pieces of jewelry. His clearly stated strategy is to manufacture in France, favoring craftsmanship and small production runs in order to better ensure quality.

Cecile

The first woman to ensure the continuity of the company based on family and craft values, she perpetuates the brand's image by infusing it with a modern vision, with Sign².

Expertise & manufacturing

For over 180 years, Vuillet Vega has cultivated expertise and a love for its products, passed down from generation to generation. The frames are manufactured in Morez in small batches, with particular attention paid to the origin of the materials and support for the local economy.
